WE LOVE KIDS!
And kids love our Award Winning Elsa’s Youth and Nature Programs.
Children of all ages, as well as young minded adults, are always welcome at Oscar Scherer State Park. We have a variety of programs for young people and those who are young at heart:
In 2008, one of our Volunteers, JT, saw a need for a kid’s program and started “Elsa’s Fish Painting”. This fun activity was an instant success. And it’s popularity has grown to the point that some families have camped at the park just to have their children participate in this and our other kid’s programs.
